Provides trained tutors to assist K-12 students with their homework throughout the school year. Youth Programs provide a wide variety of services to low-income in-school (ages 14-21) and out-of-school (ages 16-24) youth to help them succeed in school and work. Program participants may receive a range of services from the following areas: occupational skills training; career counseling; internships; job placements; mentoring; tutoring; leadership development; financial literacy; entrepreneurial skills training; local labor market and employment information services; postsecondary education and training transition support; workforce preparation and training activities designed for specific career clusters; and additional supportive services.

Provides site-based literacy, academic support and family advocacy for three Highline-area apartment complexes operated by King County Housing Authority.   Services include Kaleidoscope Play and Learn groups, after-school programming and summer programming.

Provides academic support for Somali and Spanish speaking families and their elementary students at Kimball Elementary and Maple Elementary School. Twice a week, students receive academic support and literacy instruction from trained professionals and skilled volunteers.  Families of the students work with culturally-specific case managers to learn about the American school system and best practices for supporting their students.

Offers daily activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts, reading leisure time, movies and special events. Developmentally appropriate activities are offered and the integrated program serves children from the community as well as children with special needs referred by the Lake Washington School District.

Provides an after-school program. Program includes homework help, tutoring and computer lab access. Provides transportation by appointment with a community van.

Students having difficulty attending school, completing homework, with social interactions or behavior are eligible to work with family support advocate. The advocate assists with tutoring, communication between school and home, and works with the parents to come up with a plan to help their child succeed in school.

The After School Program provides year-round enriching activities designed to support youth in their academic, social-emotional, and life skills development. Offers a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can thrive academically through personalized homework assistance, targeted literacy development, diverse enrichment activities, and access to technology. Beyond academics, the program promotes social-emotional well-being and life skills through a variety of recreational indoor and outdoor activities, including amateur sports teams such as basketball, flag football, and soccer. These team-based sports provide opportunities for youth to build teamwork, leadership, and resilience while staying active and engaged. Additionally, field trips and enrichment groups further support personal growth and foster a sense of community and belonging. During the summer, the Summer Splash program combats the "summer slide" by reinforcing literacy and math skills to help students maintain and improve their academic performance. Also partners with the Kent School District to provide free summer lunches for youth under 18 at all three program locations. The program operates at three King County Housing Authority sites on the East Hill of Kent: Birch Creek Apartments, Valli Kee Homes, and Cascade Apartments. Each community recreation center features computer labs, activity rooms, teen spaces, and a variety of recreational and educational programming to create a well-rounded experience. Students also receive healthy snacks to stay energized and focused. The program focuses on key life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and resilience, while fostering both soft and durable skills. With the guidance of positive adult role models, youth are empowered to overcome challenges, build confidence, and succeed academically and personally.

Provides a program where members can relax after school, make new friends, have fun and interact with positive adult role models.  Facility is equipped with foosball, air hockey, bumper pool and ping-pong tables, Legos, chess, board games, a reading and homework room and a gym for part of the day.  Power Hour matches kids with tutors during an organized homework period and provides study space.   Middle and high school students have their own teen space.   Transportation is provided by most north end public schools.

Programs designed to enhance families' ability to participate in a multicultural society. Works in partnership with Kent Meridian and Rainier Beach High Schools to offer year-long after-school academic programs to all newly arrived refugee youth in high school. Classroom Assistants and students meet weekly to complete homework assignments, tackle the senior research project, and complete important college application paperwork, such as the FAFSA. Time is divided into classroom instruction, individual and group work, mentorship, educational workshops, and access to scholastic resources.   Both sites feature Classroom Assistants who focus on assisting students as they participate in academic activities to improve their reading and writing skills and increase their knowledge of college and career readiness. The program strives to provide the information, resources, and access to opportunities to meet and exceed grade level standards, while completing high school graduation and college application milestones in order to graduate on time and with plans to pursue post-secondary education. Also provides opportunities for students to participate in civic and community engagement projects to build their leadership skills as well as to complete service learning requirements for graduation.
