4-H is the youth development and outreach program of WSU Extension. The program lets youths work on projects including raising animals and studying subjects ranging from art and archery to nutrition and woodworking. The clubs also have activities and special events, including summer and day camps, participating in the fair, after-school programs and leadership development retreats

Helps youth become involved in the community by offering various clubs and projects to get involved and learn through hands-on activities.  4-H Clubs in Jefferson County include the following free project areas: rabbits, robotics, cats, gardening, video, disc golf, llamas, public speaking, leadership, dogs, horses, sewing, engineering, web design, goats, community service, and other opportunities.  4-H free special events and activities include: teen works programs, camps, summer programs, after school programs, conferences, field trips and more.

Offers a wide variety of projects and activities, including workshops, conferences, camps, public presentations, fairs and community service projects.   There are many unique ways to connect with 4-H including clubs, after-school programs, special programs like ropes courses, as well as a research-based curriculum that is often used in local classrooms. Partners with community centers, schools, and local organizations that serve vulnerable communities have laid the groundwork for sustainable programs that meet these distinct needs.

4-H Developing all youth to reach their fullest potential through: developing life skills, learning by doing, and utilizing the knowledge of the land-grant university system.  The 4-H club is for all youths ages 6 to 18. They promote many "learn by doing" projects for youth.
